Expanding Healthcare Workforce Pathways

Scharbauer Foundation supports partnerships and initiatives designed to strengthen the long-term healthcare workforce pipeline throughout Midland and the Permian Basin. Investments in educational partnerships with organizations such as Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, UT Permian Basin, Midland College, and Midland ISD are helping create expanded pathways for students pursuing careers in healthcare and behavioral health services.

These initiatives include teacher and healthcare workforce development programs, behavioral health training opportunities, healthcare-focused STEM education, and regional partnerships designed to recruit, train, and retain future healthcare professionals in West Texas.
