The study identified that it isn’t a lack of childcare seat availability, but the workforce needed for Midland childcare facilities to operate at full capacity. Other proposed action included a facilites fund, a shared services network, a professional development hub, wage support, and continued workforce recruitment. Work has already begun with the Education Partnership of the Permian Basin to facilitate and organize these solutions.
